Join In - Youth

dsc00008Find out more about youth membership by contacting one of the sections for the age group you are interested in. There's no need to sign up straight away; we can arrange for taster sessions at weekly meetings and activities. If we cannot fit you in straight away, we will try to find other scouting opportunities or put your name on our waiting list.

Key Facts
Sea_Scouts_Afloat_Picos_SlipHow much does it cost? Youth membership is £14 per month which we prefer paid by standing order.
Are there any other charges? Yes, we charge for some activities and for camps but only to cover costs. Exceptionally, we may charge for an activity at a weekly meeting; for example, a trip to the cinema or swimming baths.
IMG_3180What uniform do I need? Scouts and explorers need to buy a uniform shirt as a minimum. Beavers and cubs wear their distinctive sweat shirts. For formal occasions we prefer that official scout trousers and belts are also worn. The Fareham Scout Shop operates in Fareham Methodist Church most Saturdays (0930-1200) and Thursdays (1800-1930). You will also need to buy a 3rd Portchester neckerchief from us. Sea scouts can usually 'borrow' a cap from us for a small deposit. We provide all the badges.
